Patron Reposado

Well I've done it. I have finally tried my first Reposado! I know what your thinking, girl why haven't you already been there?! Trust me I'm kicking myself. I'm probably the world's biggest blanco fan and have been a little afraid to try a Reposado or Anejo. Not sure why, just a weird little hang up of mine.
This week I have been packing to move (not far but moving all the same) so I've slacked a little on my tequila tasting duties. Apologies. Patron Reposado has a great citrus smell that doesn't offend the senses. As you can tell from my picture I bought the nipper bottle because of my fear of Reposado. I thought this was a great sipper tequila. Despite the fact that I didn't have many sips to sip, I loved the mellow and smooth sippablility (I know I've said sip a lot). Reposado is aged in oak barrels for 2 to 12 months. It's the middle sibling of the bunch. With the oak barrel aging, Patron Reposado has great spice and oak notes that make it really drinkable.
Being my first foray into the world of Reposado, I can honestly say I would recommend you give this one a try. I think it will be present at my 4th of July next weekend!
Happy drinking!
